Something Bright and Cheery for a miserable day

Hi All, Blimey its been a busy month, with both kids home from Uni, there doesn't seem to have been much time for crafting - although i did manage to sneak a few trips into my craft room, before the call came to take one of them out!!

It was a friends daughters birthday and as it was going to be her 21st it needed to be a little bit special.  So out came the Fresco finish paints along with the distress paints.  I started with a lilac brayered tag, and just built up the colour until i was happy with it.  Then out came some of my Crafter workshop stencils along with the Distress inks, quickly followed by some cosmic shimmer texture paste.  All in all a good start I thought, I was about to insert a pic of the tag at this point but it appears that i forgot to take a photo at this stage!!

Next i took a piece of white card and cut it to fit my card i was using an 8x8 card so cut the piece of card a bit shorter all the way round and then brayered peacock feathers distress paint over the top until i had a nice coverage.  Out came the stencils again and using a piece of cut n dry foam and some dusty concord and picket fence paint added to the background until i got this  (remembered the photo this time lol)

Then i added the tag plus a tattered floral flower, a key embellishment and a couple of randomly stamped Happy Birthdays and ended up with this!!

All done basically using just peacock feathers, dusty concord, picket fence distress paints and lilac Paperartsy Fresco finish!

Don't you just love crafting!!??

Thanks for looking and as always do leave your comments, it really is good to know what you think.
