Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Well it's almost here and I have packed away all of crafting bits for this year - mainly due to the fact that my daughter has been turfed out of her bedroom and she needs somewhere to sleep lol!  Christmas cards are finished.  Below are the designs some lucky friends should hopefully receive.  The background was done with paint (distress and fresco finish) one of Georgina's Christmas stencils from The Artistic Stamper, and indigo blu Christmas stamps.

I popped the paint on my mat and then used a brayer to cover a sheet of card.  With pewter distress paint I popped a bit on my craft mat, picked some up with a bit of cut and dry and then popped this through the pointsetta stencil.  Left it all to dry ( ok I admit that I had to bin the first batch as, as usual I got carried away thought it was dry stamped onto the background and then gently sprinkled embossing powder onto the image tapped the excess off and then swore at myself for being so stupid - did it again yesterday due to rushing but that's another story altogether.

I don't know if you will be able to see these clearly unfortunately this one didn't come out as well as I had hoped
This one is still a bit dark
This one is a little better but I must remember to take the photo in my craft room rather than at night in the middle of writing Christmas cards.

Anyway enough of my waffling.  Hope you all have a lovely Christmas, I am keeping my fingers crossed that the square present under the Christmas tree from my daughter is the gelli plate that I had put on my list - well you never know it looks the right shape ;-)

Happy Christmas
