Well I don't know where that month went........

Is it me or do days and weeks get shorter as you get older??  I really don't know where the last month has gone or what I have been so busy doing!!  Not much really, had a very posh afternoon tea with my daughter and a friend and her daughter at the Peace Hotel here in Shanghai ( our equivalent to tea at the ritz). Followed by a very lovely facial during which I fell asleep and to my daughters disgust started snoring lol!!  Anyway I digress I have been having a play trying to stretch myself lately.  Some of the cards didn't quite work out but here is one they didn't quite go how I was hoping but I still liked when I had finished.
The stamps are Chocolate Baroques steampunkery.  I die cut the word "imagine" with the time holtz die and using just distress stain coloured and stamped the tag I also colour a piece of water colour paper in dusty concord and stuck it to the back of the tag so that the purple showed throughout the tag.  The background was made with a piece of Mirri board embossed with a gear embossing folder and then covered with black acrylic paint,  I did use distress paint on this one but ordinary acrylic paint works just as well just use your finger to work the paint in and then with a piece of kitchen roll wipe it off it will leave the mirror board with a lovely distressed effect and completely takes the shininess away. The ribbon was stained with the same colours as the tag and the card itself was covered with the rest of the watercolour paper.

The stamped hat was painted with distress stain using a water brush.  The cogs and winder were painted with brushed pewter and I also stamped the wings two extra times coloured them all with antique linen and brushed courdroy and then layered them.

Hope you like it.  Thanks for looking
