Hi Everyone

This months topic over at The Artistic Stamper Blog is Springtime, with that in mind i decided to put a slightly different take on the theme and this is what i came up with

I started by taking a printed tag and covering it with Cut Grass  Dylusions paint
I stamped the Tick Tock flower stamp onto another printed tag, which i had painted with a mix of Tangerine Dream and Lemon Zest.  The leaves were stamped using the leaves from the Lesley Matthewson Dog Rose set, and were stamped onto another piece of tag, this time painted with polished jade.
I stamped around the edges using the Decay background in Lucky Clover Distress Ink and then in Archival Black and the mini Decay background stamp.

The stem was made using jewellery wire wrapped around a pencil

The lettering was done using a new alphabet washi tape from The Artistic Stamper

The layers were raised using the pieces of wood you sometimes get with a new canvas which are designed to support the back of it.  However they do come in really useful in mixed media

Happy crafting

Anything Goes - January The Artistic Stamper

Hi Everyone, hope you all had a good Christmas and are looking forward to 2017.

this page was created using a mop up page, or just one i used some excess paint on.  The Dahlia in the middle was coloured using my new Prismacolour pencils which work on paint beautifully!

I then added random stencilling mainly with distress ink although the words where done with paste
Hoping you all have a very creative 2017

December Challenge at The Artistic Stamper

Hi everyone

Its been a while! I just don't know where the time goes each month!  Its really cold here at the moment, being by the coast we don't tend to get as much frost as other places but boy was that frost thick this morning!!!  Its Christmas over at The Artistic Stamper and so I have used the new Christmas stamps from The Artistic Stamper

This is quite a quick and simple card, I used dark blue acrylic paint to paint a card i punched a piece of paper with a large circle punch and used that as a stencil and applied Picket Fence Distress Ink through the hole!

I then stamped the Santa stamp ensuring that he was onto of the white to create the illusion of him flying past the moon.  I stamped some snowflakes in Picket Fence and heat dried them to set.  I added the gorgeous new Merry Christmas stamp using Picket Fence Distress Ink and White embossing powder. I then went around the edge of the card with the picket fence pad being very random on how heavy i applied the ink and then added more embossing powder and heat set.

Keep warm and happy creating

Autumn Challenge Card

Hi Everyone

This months challenge starts today over on The Artistic Stamper Blog and Facebook pages, and this month the challenge is Autumn!  I only have to look outside my windows to see the wonderful colours that autumn brings and used those colours.

Using Wild Honey, Rusty Hinge, Fired Brick and Peeled Paint Distress Paint I stamped Lesley's Ivy stamp

I re-stamped the ivy onto a post it note and used this as a mask

Each time inking up the stamp with all four colours and occasionally just doing the odd image plain green.

I used to a water brush to pull the colour across - in other words no extra colour was used.  I then stamped autumn in the space colours with the Decay alphabet stamps and then cut them out.

I also stamped some extra leaves and cut them out and added one under each letter.  I added 3D pads to the letters to give it some depth.

Don't forget to add your challenge piece to the blog, you never know it could be you that wins the free stamps this month!

Thanks for stopping by Debs
